 Puy l'Eveque, the perfect terroire

The region around Puy l'Eveque (Bishop's Mount) is home to a number of France's top vineyards. It is also the oldest winegrowing region of France.

The first vines were brought here by the Roman legions around 2000 years ago, and the region has become renowned for it's distinctive, "black" wine based primarily on the Malbec grape. It has a fascinating history.

 The 2009 vintage

2009 was one of the great years for the Cahors region. A long hot summer with almost no rain produced a concentrated grape with high sugar. The vintage promises to be memorable.
